Rafael Ylanan is an Associate Attorney at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC. His practice focuses on oil and gas and real estate, with an emphasis on advising upstream oil and gas companies on title, transactional, and regulatory matters.

Rafael has almost 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. In 2007, he started as a field landman examining records in courthouses and title plants throughout Texas and quickly transitioned into a law firm where he rendered Drilling, Division Order, and Acquisition Title Opinions, and prepared curative documents. Since then he has continued rendering title opinions covering lands located within all major Texas oil and gas plays but has also assisted and overseen multimillion-dollar due diligence projects for both public and private equity backed companies covering lands in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, prepared operating agreements and other transactional agreements.

In addition to his oil and gas practice, Rafael’s real estate practice involves assisting clients during the closing of both residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Rafael is licensed to practice in Texas and is based in Fort Worth.
