Melinda Frazier is an Associate Attorney at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC.

Melinda’s practice includes drafting oil and gas title opinions, conducting due diligence, and drafting curative documents and agreements to assist clients engaged in the upstream oil and gas industry.

Melinda completed a dual degree program at the University of Wyoming where she earned a Juris Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Environment and Natural Resources. Her law school elective coursework focused on oil and gas law, water law, commercial transactions, land use regulation, and decommissioning offshore drilling platforms. In addition, she assisted the Wyoming Attorney General’s office in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where she gained valuable experience drafting legal memoranda pertaining to administrative and regulatory issues related to downstream oil and gas operations.

Prior to joining Kearney, McWilliams, & Davis, PLLC, Melinda managed upstream financial and technical operations for oilfield service providers in the Bakken, Niobrara, and Uintah Basins. Her primary responsibilities focused on drilling and workover rig operations, as well as services pertaining to automation and measurement. Given her pragmatic field work experience, Melinda is able to provide collaborative and practical solutions to clients encountering obstacles in upstream development.

Beyond work, Melinda enjoys SCUBA diving, hiking in the mountains, playing piano, and training horses.

Melinda Frazier is licensed to practice law in Wyoming. She is based in the Denver, Colorado, office of Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC.
