Melinda D. Frazier, J.D., M.A.
Melinda Frazier is an Attorney at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC with more than two decades of experience in energy and natural resources. Prior to joining Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC, Melinda managed finance and business development for entities engaged in oil and gas operations in Wyoming, Colorado, North Dakota and Utah. With a professional background in energy transactions, Melinda is experienced in contract negotiation, mitigation of business risk, and general compliance.
Melinda focuses her practice on title examination, and particularly the drafting of drilling and division order title opinions on fee, federal and state lands. She assists clients with business-related and intellectual property law matters, probate of mineral assets and conducts due diligence for large real estate transactions.
In addition to her JD, Melinda has a MA in Environment and Natural Resources. Specifically, Melinda utilizes her MA to obtain unique, collaborative solutions to complex natural resource issues involving multiple stakeholders at the federal, state and local levels. Melinda is also a certified mediator for the Wyoming Department of Agriculture and represents individuals across the state of Wyoming with a wide variety of issues. She is skilled at alternative dispute resolution and is successful in obtaining solutions in lieu of litigation.
Beyond work, Melinda is an avid SCUBA diver and has traveled extensively throughout the Indo-Pacific. During surface intervals she enjoys hiking in the Big Horn Mountains, riding and training working ranch horses and is an accomplished classical pianist. She lives on a cattle ranch near Sheridan, Wyoming and enjoys assisting her husband with various ranch duties.
