COVID-19 Update

Dear Clients and Colleagues,

At KMD, we hope you are weathering the recent storm from the Coronavirus, the financial markets, the stay-at-home
orders and lockdowns, the disruption, and the shortages as best you can.

We wanted to reach out and assure you that we are here, and we are 100% accessible and fully operational. The firm has always been cloud-based, with our email, file system, phones, and other logistics selected and setup from the beginning for scaling up or down, to and from brick and mortars, and with multiple, redundant remote backups. All our attorneys and staff are familiar with these systems, as they have been in place from the beginning of the firm’s existence. Also, all our attorneys and staff have home equipment and software similar if not identical to what they have at the office. Our communication systems reroute themselves automatically, so we can be anywhere in the world, apart or together, yet still provide the services you require. Previously, these policies were about consistency of work product, efficiency, responsiveness, and productivity. In times like today, these policies mean we are as available to you now as we always have been, along with your sensitive legal needs, records, files, communications, or otherwise. We are encouraging and following CDC and NIH guidelines regarding the safety of our workplaces and staff, as well as the evolving policies of local officials regarding office and travel. We do this with no anticipated or experienced downtime, no new systems required, and no transition period necessary.

With the current conditions, we know there are many new and unforeseen stresses impacting your interests. There may also be silver lining opportunities. We are here to help in whatever capacity we can. From experience with us, you know we don’t bill for simple emails and phone calls, inquiring on what to do in an emergency or even a simple question. Various government programs, like the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), the developing Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) are emerging to boost business, stabilize and stimulate the market, and provide relief through aid, grants, loans, and other means. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us regarding ongoing and upcoming issues, especially those that may be impacting your business or personal life. If there’s even a chance we can make a difference, provide a second opinion, or just give you some strategy and confidence in these trying times, please inquire. If you have friends that need similar assistance, feel free to forward this along. KMD is a comprehensive business, property, and transactions firm, handling all things energy, entity, estate, intellectual, commercial, and residential, including title, diligence, official filings, modifications, disputes, enforcement, and protection. We can help.

No one knows how long the current climate is going to last regarding the Coronavirus, market volatility, and the general national and international chaos. But trust that this firm was here, is here, and will continue to be here through it with you. See www.KMD.law for our direct, individual contact info for your preferred attorney.

Good luck to you and yours through all this. We’ll be here when you need us.
